Shillong: Notwithstanding the Conrad K Sangma government clear stand against the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) , the Congress used its youth frontal organization to launch a scathing attack on the NPP led dispensation.

The Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC) termed the State Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma as ‘spineless’ and a man who withered in the face of his political masters(referring to the BJP). The MPYC staged a demonstration in front of the BJP office in Tura town on Friday in protest against
Soon after the demonstration, the President of the MPYC ,Richard Marak took pot shots at the Chief Minister of the state and the BJP for trying to use Bill for vote bank politics.

“We have a Chief Minister who is voiceless against his political masters. Even in the past against Good Governance Day and Digital India Day he was silent. All his press releases about withdrawing from NEDA and association with the BJP are nothing but empty threats. As is the case with him, it is all talk and no action.”, stated Marak

Marak went on attacking the NPP Chief Minister by stating, “If we wait and watch, we will see him prove that he is spineless against his political masters, the BJP. Neither is he performing upto the standard on all fronts as is want of the Chief Minister of a state.” The MPYC, a frontal organization of the INC in the state further went on attacking the Chief Minister by adding, “ Far from development, in fact, the government is being fined. Jumla after jumla just like his boss.”
