Mid-air Collision between Two Planes in Canada Killed a Pilot

Guwahati: A sudden collision of two aircrafts mid-air, a pilot of the small passenger plane died. This incident took place mid-air in Ottawa with the crashed planes falling down into a field near the capital Ottawa. The small aircraft was a Cessna aircraft and the pilot was flying it alone. The pilot is later pronounced dead. The accident took place on Sunday.

Speaking about the exact circumstances of the accident, police said that the accident took place in Carp, Ontario which is around 30 kilometers (18 miles) west of Ottawa.

However, the second plane, which was a turboprop Piper PA-42, rerouted to Ottawa’s international airport and landed safely there. Further investigation to find out the reason for the mid-air clash is directed to be performed.

As per CBC report, the pilot of the Piper told air traffic controllers that the Cessna struck from below and damaged his landing gear.
