SHILLONG, July 1: The Meghalaya SSA School Association (MSSASA) Mairang Block Unit West Khasi Hills District has informed that a general meeting of the SSA teachers will be held on July 5, at Pyndengumiong Presbyterian Upper Primary School, Mairang.
BS Ryntathiang Secretary MSSASA Mairang Block Unit informed that the meeting is to update the members of the association on the recent meeting with the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and Education Minister concerning the regularization of the teachers besides their other demands placed with the government by the parent body of the association.
He informed that the meeting will also discuss on the report received form NIOS and Directorate of Educational Research and Training government of Meghalaya on the delay in commencing classes for the second Batch (2015-17) of teachers for the course Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) which has been pending since the year 2016.
The meeting will also be attended by Meghalaya SSA School Association (MSSASA) central body president Aristotle C Rymbai and general secretary HM Marbaniang, members of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) including leaders of the MSSASA West Khasi Hills District Unit.
Ryntathiang urged his fellow SSA teachers under Mairang Block to attend the general meeting of the teachers to understand the present progress of their various demands placed with the state government.
