KOHIMA: The Nagaland Board of School Education has notified that the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam IGNITE 19 Competition under the initiative of the National Innovation Foundation (NIF) under the Department of Science and Technology is underway and entries will be accepted till August 31. This nationwide competition aims to harness the creative and innovative spirit of school children. The awards are announced on October 15, the birthday former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. The day is celebrated as Children's Creativity and Innovation Day by the National Innovation Foundation (NIF). Apart from the awards and incubation support, NIF also provides IGNITE winners an opportunity to participate in events like Festival of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (FINE) at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Indian Science Congress, etc., stated a DIPR release.

Tobu SDPDB meeting

KOHIMA: The Tobu SDPDB meeting was held at the ADC conference Hall on Saturday. Bongkhao Konyak, advisor DUDA, was present in the meeting where the agenda included upgrade of the Government High School to Higher Secondary School, upgrade of GMS to Government High School Moknyakshu Town, registration of Tobu Area Students' Union, immediate posting of Headmaster and Assistant Headmaster at Government High School Tobu, recognition of Yongkhao Changlu Village and opening of Government Primary School at Yangmai village. The house decided to take strong action against the head of offices who were absent at the meeting, stated a DIPR release.

New office building

KOHIMA: Kazheto Kinimi, advisor for CAWD, Skill Development, Labour & Employment, inaugurated the newly constructed building of the ADC office, Tseminyu. Speaking on the occasion, Kazheto said that the PDA government led by Neiphiu Rio is working with the Central leaders for bringing more infrastructure development for the State. He also gave assurance to give furniture for the new office building. He also unveiled the plaque of the inaugural stone. Local MLA and Advisor for Vety & AH, and Women Resources, R Khing in his short speech thanked the government for the new office building, stated a DIPR release.
