KOHIMA: The Mon district administration will be organizing a day-long free enrolment drive for beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB - PMJAY) on July 12 at Town Council Hall from 10 am. Mon DC Thavaseelan K stated that under this scheme, free health insurance for Rs 5 lakh per family per year can be availed. The PMJAY scheme will cover medical and hospitalization expenses for almost all secondary care and most of the tertiary care procedures. Every eligible beneficiary should produce a family ID proof and individual ID proof which is mandatory, stated a DIPR release.

AIDS control meet

KOHIMA: The State Level Committee of Concern and Nagaland State Aids Control Society was held at the Chief Secretary's Conference Hall on Friday. The meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary Temjen Toy. The Chief Secretary said that to eradicate HIV/AIDS in the State we need intervention for prevention and initiate it more seriously. He called upon the members to prepare action plan and submit it at the earliest, stated a DIPR release.

Felicitation programme

KOHIMA: The Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees' Association (CANSEEA) organized a felicitation programme for Dr Zasekuolie Chusi in Kohima in recognition of his achievement for being inducted into the IAS, the first in-service veterinarian in India. Dr Chusi expressed his gratitude to the CANSSEA and other service associations and thanked everyone for their support, encouragement and the love and concern shown towards him, stated a DIPR release.

Kiphire DLCC

KOHIMA: The District Economics & Statistics Office, Kiphire, has set up the District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) under the chairman ship of Deputy Commissioner and the members are General Manager, DIC, District Labour Commissioner, District Public Relations Officer and District Economics & Statistics Officer. The first District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) meeting was held at Deputy Commissioner Office Chamber on Friday under the chairmanship of DC M Shayung Phom, stated a DIPR release.

Biker welcomed

KOHIMA: A warm reception programme was organized in Zunheboto to welcome Onen Nenty on Thursday. Onen has been on the roads since June 19. Her expedition –solo motor cycle ride across Nagaland – was flagged of by Governor PB Acharya and his wife Kavita Acharya in Kohima. She is embarking on a solo motor cycle tour to all districts of Nagaland. The programme was chaired by Vikheshe Aye while short speeches were delivered by Hukashi Awomi, GS Sumi Totimi Hoho Zunheboto unit, Kakugha S Rotokha and the biker herself, stated a DIPR release.
