NRC claims and objection cell launched in Sivasagar

Joysagar: A special cell was launched in the Sivasagar DC’s office on Monday to help people file claims or objections with regard to the National Register of Citizens (NRC). Besides, a special meeting was also held in the Sivasagar DC’s conference hall Sukafa Bhavan on Monday where Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner P G Jha asked all involved in the NRC update process to give attention to the claims and objections filing process which the SC has extended for 15 more days. The Sivasagar ADC and also the in-charge of the NRC cell and the district nodal officers of the NRC and the LRCRs of the district attended the meeting.
