Panchayat Poll 2018: Heavy turnout in Amguri LAC

GAURISAGAR: In the first phase of panchayat poll held on Wednesday, voters of Amguri LAC cast their votes in 213 polling stations. Out of 1,12,111 voters, 80-85 per cent cast their votes for four zila parishads, 21 gaon panchayats and anchalik panchayats and 210 gaon panchayat ward member seats. Long queues of voters were seen since morning in polling stations like Gaurisagar, Dikhowmukh, Hatighuli, Hatighuli, Khanamukh, Jhanji Morabazar Mumai Tamuli, Hafaluting Charing and tea garden areas of Amguri. Polling was peaceful across the constituency and no untoward incident was reported till filing of the report.
