Preparations afoot for 70th Republic Day in Silchar

Silchar: Anurag Sharma who has been recently transferred as the SDPO of Lakhipur sub division met in-charge SDO (Civil) ADC Cachar J R Lalsim and discussed matters related to law and order, administration and other issues. They discussed about the ongoing preparations which are afoot for the celebration of the 70th Republic Day on January 26.

Various check posts have been installed at Harinagar, Joypur, Molong Dipucherra, Kumacherra and Joypur Shivasthan. All vehicles are thoroughly checked in order to ensure safety and security. Lakhipur police station officer in-charge Inspector Anwar Hussain Choudhury along with other police personnel are keeping vigilant eyes so as to ward off any unpleasant incident.
