Ranikor Congress Reviews MDC-Poll Preparedness

Proposes Airmarchal Diengan from SWKH district

SHILLONG: The Ranikor Block Congress Committee (RBCC) and Ranikor Youth Congress Committee (RYCC) in a meeting held at Panchiring ‘B’ village discussed matters concerning the upcoming MDC election for the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) slated in 2019.

In this meeting, the RBCC also received the proposals of candidature from two candidates vying for a ticket from the party to contest the MDC election.

The two aspiring candidates include Airmarchal Diengan and Daniel Wahlang and both of them had earlier contested the election.

“During the meeting, party members approved the name of Airmarchal Diengan to be sent to South West Khasi Hills District so that his candidature will be submitted to the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC),” president RBCC K Lyngkhoi said.

The party also urged the members to work hard with an objective to achieve success in the MDC election 2019 from 26-Langrin MDC constituency.

A minute of silence was also observed during the meeting as a mark of respect for (late) Clement Marak, former MLA of Salsella constituency who had passed away recently.
