While speaking to the students,  Jyrwa emphasized on the fact that there are more than 300 social websites,  where the youth would meet and interact with people from across the world, whether they are real or under a fake profile can never be truly ascertained mostly until it’s too late and a crime has already been committed using the ever important tool of the Internet.

He further gave a list of do’s and don’ts when using any social media sites or just the Internet in general. Meanwhile, Syiem, during his presentation spoke at length about how people have been duped for money by cyber criminals who lured their victims into a relationship or other situation of trust.

He also stressed on the fact that social sites like Facebook, Instagram and many like them can lure the youth into a sense of narcissism and can also lead to depression.

The students of MLCU presented a short play on the ill use of the best Internet and how innocent victims are exploited by cyber crimes
