Traffic cops awarded for hard work

Shillong, June 12: Recognising the hard work put in by Shillong Traffic Police, ‘Smart Charitable Trust’ awarded two traffic policemen - Inspector David R Marak in-charge Lumdiengjri Traffic Branch and Sub-Inspector Krishna Kumar Ruchal of Sadar Traffic Branch - with the ‘Best Shillong Traffic Policemen Award’ for the year 2018.

A certificate of appreciation, a momento and cash award of Rs 7000 was given to each.

The trust was initiated and conceptualised by ex-bureaucrat, Prashant Naik and its members include retired government officers.

The aim of the trust is to award common people who have contributed to the well being of society.

Present in the award ceremony were the other trust members, Director General of Police, SB Singh, Davis. NR Marak, Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, K Prasad, MPS, Additional Superintendent of Police (HQ), East Khasi Hills, Shillong, DK Prasad, MPS, Dy. Superintendent of Police (HQ), East Khasi Hills, Shillong among others. The award has encouraged the officers of Shillong Traffic Police to put in more efforts.
