Uproar in Majuli: BJP district office Vandalized by party workers

Majuli: After Youth Congress vandalism incident in Biswanath on Tuesday, few disgruntled candidates of BJP party workers from Majuli vandalized the BJP office today.

The candidates also claimed that the party’s eligible candidates were not given the tickets to contest for the upcoming polls.

As per a report, hundreds of female and male supporters and politicians reached the party office also protested against the party. At the same time, the resentment within the BJP and its ally Gana Shakti Party has started to brew in the region.

Angry BJP supporters further demanded that the BJP party should contest the upcoming Panchayat Polls alone.

Reportedly, among those who protested, workers of 8 panchayat areas of Majuli district reached the district office in the morning and ransacked the office.

Although there was no top party leader present in the office during the incident. “No kind of seat sharing will be accepted with the Gana Shakti Party. All the tickets should be given away to the eligible BJP candidates,” demanded the BJP supporters.
