5th Rashtriya Poshan Maah launched in Roing

ROING: The 5th Rashtriya Poshan Maah with an aim to eliminate malnutrition along with plantation drive was launched at Poshan Vatika of Model Anganwadi centre near here. The programme was attended by ZPM Komji Linggi, DFO K. Rina, DD (ICDS) G. A. Perying, dignitaries, CDPOs, supervisors and Anganwadi workers.

ZPM Komji Linggi appreciated the role of Anganwadi workers and helpers in creating awareness in the fight against malnutrition and stated that children were the future and the service provided by Anganwadi workers was akin to service to God. Dr SJ Mitapo stressed the importance of nutrition on maternal and child (prenatal and antenatal) health in the growth and development of a child. DD (ICDS) spoke about the importance of Rashtriya Poshan Maah.
