ROING: The 5th Rashtriya Poshan Maah- 2022 was celebrated by the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) at Child Care Institution(CCI) near here on Monday. Around 80 participants of children's Home, Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA), members of the Child Welfare Committee and DCPU participated in the programme. Deputy Director (ICDS) Cum DCPO G. A. Perying spoke about the launch of Rashtriya Poshan Maah in 2018 and its focus on the nutrition aspects among children and usefulness of locally available vegetables. She said that Poshan Maah also focused on hildren's nutrition for proper growth and development.
Member (Child Welfare Committee) Neharika. S. Umbrey stressed the importance of maintaining personal hygiene by children. Children need to maintain cleanliness, eat a balanced diet and keep their surroundings clean, Umbrey said. Protection Officer (DCPU) N. Meto briefed about Rashtriya Poshan Maah celebrated as National Nutrition Month in the month of September. The aim is to address the challenge of malnutrition and make efforts towards good nutrition for women and children, he said. Chairperson (Nani Maria Society) Desai Linggi also spoke on the occasion.
