ITANAGAR: Activist Sol Dodum has cancelled his plan to march for Delhi as a mark of his protest after the State Government fulfils his charter of demands today.

Dodum, who was in a dharna since April 15 last at Tennis Court, was all set to march for Delhi. However, he has to call off the march after the representative of the State Government handed over him an approval letter to transfer is Seppa PS case No. 13/2022 U/S 323/324/341/427/34/120B IPC to SIT and approval for conducting preliminary inquiry by Vigilance Department (SIC) on fund misappropriation in the Department of PHED & WS Seppa Division.

"This is was all possible due to the continuous prayers and support of the public," said Sol Dodum, while extending gratitude to the public.

He further added that all the demands are fulfilled now, the Executive Engineer has been transferred, the water facilities are being corrected, the cases have been transferred to SIT & SIC and the transfer of DC will be done within a few months as per the rule, he added.

Meanwhile, Dodum also wrote a written assurance to call off his agitation without further demands. Sol Dodum had marched more than 225 km on foot from Seppa to Itanagar demanding clean water for Seppa.
