ITANAGAR: The All Kurung Kurney District Students' Union (AKKDSU) demanded the State Government to immediately create posts and recruit people in group C and MTS posts in various administrative headquarters of Kurung Kumey district.

Addressing media persons here on Monday at Arunchal Press Club, AKKDSU president Tarh Demi said that all the administrative headquarters of the district were facing acute shortage of manpower and various departments had failed to provide the required public services. The district headquarter Koloriang was established in 2007 and since 2013 no post was created against Kurung Kume district. The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) has conducted examination many times but till date no staff was sent to the district by the government.

In this regard, the students' union had repeatedly submitting representations to the State Government and also the district administration since 2015. On Monday, they submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister for immediate creation on posts against Kurung Kumey district. Expressing concern over problems faced by the people of the district due to bad road condition and under construction of trans Arunachal Highway within the district, Bapu Bengia, general secretary of AKKDSU, appealed to the construction agency to complete the road construction on time as per DPR by 2022 and he also requested the public not to create any disturbance in road construction. He also demanded the authority concerned to immediately construct the FCI godown in Kurung Kumey district to sort out the FCI distribution of items.
