APB & OCWWB donates face masks & hand sanitizers

ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB & OCWWB) today donated a huge consignment of sanitary facemasks and hand sanitizers to various private and government hospitals within Itanagar Capital Complex.

APB & OCWWB chairman NyatoDukam informed that the Board has procured sanitary facemasks and hand sanitizers for distribution to the labourer community but due to the lockdown, the same could not be delivered to various parts of the state for general distribution.

Labour organizations registered with the Board have also been entrusted for distribution in their locality, and are doing well, he added.

APB&OCWWB also informed that since the worker community is also attached to various hospitals for Covid-19 management duties, the Board has decided to distribute the items to the hospitals.

"Today itself, around 40,000 facemasks and hand sanitizers in equal quantity have been distributed to all private and government hospitals of the Capital Complex. Similarly, the facemask and hand sanitizers have also been given to the various check gates and nakas of the Capital region," Dukam said.

Meanwhile, DCH Chimpu nodal officer-cum-chest specialist Dr Tamar Paling has lauded the effort of the APB&OCWWB and thanked its Chairman for supporting all the private and government hospitals in Itanagar Capital Complex.

Dr Paling informed the sanitary facemasks and hand sanitizers will be distributed to all the patients and the staff working of respective healthcare institutions.
