ITANAGAR: Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Indian Army’s Spear Corps, recently visited forward deployment areas in Arunachal Pradesh to assess the operational preparedness of the troops.

During his visit, the Corps Commander evaluated the readiness of the forces and inspected various technological advancements underway in the region. A key focus was on indigenous drone fabrication efforts initiated by the formation.

Lt Gen Pendharkar highlighted the importance of self-reliance and innovation through technology to improve battlefield effectiveness and operational strength.

His visit reaffirms the Indian Army’s commitment to strengthening combat readiness along the nation’s vital frontiers, a defence communiqué informed on Friday.
