Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu Assesses SVM Progress

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Saturday convened a meeting with the Smart Village Movement (SVM) team of California-based University of Berkeley, to assess the progress of implementation of the project in the State.

Pema Khandu during the meeting with the team led by Prof Solomon Darwin, at New Delhi, assured full support of the State Government and appointed a nodal officer for the task to be carried out effectively, a CMO communique informed. The Arunachal government had in June last year signed an MoU with the university to facilitate technology innovations, research and development, open innovation, technology interventions and curriculum development in select villages of the State.

The SVM team informed Khandu about the countries especially from the Nordic region that are interested to invest in Arunachal. They also presented a report on the work involving village specific data collections, the communique added.
