Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the implementation status of land acquisition for major strategic and infrastructure projects across the state.
The projects under review included the Frontier Highway, hydropower initiatives, roads developed by the Border Roads Organization (BRO) and National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), railway expansion, Indo-Myanmar border fencing and approach roads, and Border Outposts (BoPs) of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).
Underscoring the significance of these initiatives, the chief secretary stressed that such projects are vital for enhancing connectivity, strengthening border infrastructure, and driving inclusive growth in Arunachal Pradesh's remote and frontier areas.
The meeting focused on accelerating project execution, addressing ground-level challenges, and ensuring effective coordination among implementing agencies, an official communiqué informed here on Sunday. A time-bound action plan was formulated to ensure timely progress and disbursal of compensation to affected stakeholders.
The review was attended by all key stakeholders, including officials from implementing agencies and deputy commissioners of the concerned districts, who participated via video conferencing.
Reiterating the state government’s resolve, Gupta emphasized the need to fast-track infrastructure development, especially in sensitive border regions, to bolster national security and improve the livelihood of local communities.
