ITANAGAR1: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik on Sunday extended warm greetings to the people of the state, especially the Buddhist community, on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima.

In his message, the governor expressed hope that the sacred day would continue to inspire everyone with Lord Buddha’s timeless teachings of love, peace, and harmony.

Lord Buddha, revered as the Light of Asia, is one of the greatest spiritual teachers in human history. His path of compassion, nonviolence, tolerance, and universal brotherhood continues to guide and uplift millions across the world,” Parnaik said.

He described Buddha’s teachings as a beacon of hope that offers solace and spiritual strength during difficult times.

Highlighting the core of Buddhist philosophy, the governor said the eightfold path—right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration, serves as a comprehensive and profound guide to ethical and mindful living. These principles, he added, form the essence of the Dharma and encourage lives rooted in wisdom and compassion.

“May this Buddha Purnima deepen the bonds of unity, mutual respect, and emotional harmony among all communities, and bring tranquillity and well-being to every corner of our society,” Parnaik added.
