Itanagar: In a major push to align technical education with industry demands, the Arunachal Pradesh skill development & entrepreneurship (SDE) department has launched a five-day ‘Institute-to-Industry Connect Orientation Program’ at Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd (TKM) in Bengaluru. The programme, which began Monday, is designed to equip Industrial Training Institute (ITI) faculty members with hands-on exposure to real-world industrial practices.

Led by SDE Director Sibo Passing, the 15-member delegation includes six ITI principals, one group instructor, and eight instructors from across the state.

The initiative aims to bridge the gap between classroom teaching and industry expectations by immersing educators in live shop-floor environments.

The programme is expected to enhance curriculum delivery, enable instructors to offer more informed career guidance, and integrate emerging technologies into training modules. Ultimately, this hands-on experience is intended to improve project-based learning and job readiness among ITI trainees.
