NAHARLAGUN: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Naharlagun Police apprehended a female drug peddler during a targeted raid at Panchayat Colony, Damsite. Acting on precise intelligence, a dedicated police team led by Inspector Krishnendu Dev, Officer-in-Charge of Naharlagun Police Station, successfully carried out the operation.
The raid was conducted under the supervision of SDPO Naharlagun Rishi Longdo and SP Naharlagun Mihin Gambo, with EAC Naharlagun Khoda Bath present to ensure transparency and adherence to protocol.
During the search of the residence of Enime Kena Mihu (31), a resident of Anini in Dibang Valley, police seized 25 vials containing suspected heroin, weighing approximately 32.9 grams, and a plastic container with suspected heroin, weighing approximately 30.7 grams. The seizure also included 42 empty vials, a red plastic container, two used syringes, and three empty cigarette packets, indicating drug use and distribution. The total estimated weight of the suspected heroin is approximately 63.6 grams. During interrogation, Enime Kena Mihu reportedly admitted to procuring the narcotics from Assam for personal use and distribution in the region.
A case has been registered at Naharlagun Police Station under Case No. 36/2024, invoking Sections 21(b), 27, and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The accused is currently in police custody as investigations continue to identify her network and activities.
