Itanagar: In a swift and coordinated operation, the Papu Hills Police in Arunachal Pradesh successfully rescued three missing minor girls from Duliajan in Assam’s Dibrugarh district, and reunited them with their families, a senior police officer said here.

The girls, aged between 14 and 15, had boarded a train intending to reach Tinsukia but mistakenly arrived at Naharlagun Railway Station on Wednesday, Naharlagun SP Mihin Gambo said.

Upon being found, the minors were given immediate medical care and placed in a safe environment at Oju Shelter Home. With the active support of Duliajan Police, their parents were traced, and the girls were formally handed over to their families at Papu Hills Police Station, Gambo added.
