ITANAGAR: A delegation from Odisha visited various gram panchayats in Arunachal Pradesh as part of a peer review under the Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyaan, an initiative under Mission Saksham and Poshan 2.0 by the Centre.
The main aim of the review was to assess and enhance nutrition service delivery through community involvement and inter-departmental convergence. Key focus areas included food distribution, vaccination, preschool support, and data tracking.
The team, led by Odisha's women and child development department additional secretary N C Jyoti Ranjan Nayak, along with officials including Dr Smrutijit Patnaik, Deepali Das, Diris Diengdoh, and Malom Saring, visited anganwadi centers at Lower Socktsen and Upper Socktsen in Sokten gram panchayat, under Zemithang-Dudungarh block of Tawang district.
A second team, headed by deputy director of SIRD, Odisha, Dr Subrat Kumar Mishra, and including Surajit Patnaik, Gyati Loder, Dr Miti Siboh, Nang Shilakani Namsum and Nang Rita Mansai, visited multiple AWCs across Pangen, Podumoni, Sitpani Moran, and Kaupatoni gram panchayats in Namsai district.
