Arunachal Pradesh: We Are Living In Narendra Modi's Era, Says Pema Khandu

ITANAGAR : Pema Khandu, the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh asserted that the scenario in Yangtse is normal as of now. He urged everyone to relax and have faith in the Indian soldiers, as he believes they would respond in a befitting manner to the Chinese aggression.

He stated that Yangtse is under his assembly constituency. If the situation in the region would not have been peaceful, then he would have been there and not in Mumbai.

It's not 1962 anymore, added the chief minister. We are living in 2022, in PM Narendra Modi's era where India will not put a single foot backward and thwart any sort of external threat.

Pema Khandu criticised the Congress party for creating a ruckus in parliament. He mentioned how the Indian Army had to suffer during their tenure in Arunachal Pradesh.

He further described the incident where only one major along with 60 security forces were stationed at the India-China border in Yangtse. He compared the range of development Arunachal has witnessed during the BJP rule, while questioning the Congress's efforts in the infrastructural progress of the state.

Modern infrastructure, integrated projects and new projects for development has been initiated under the BJP government, added the minister. Arunachal was once unrecognised for its connectivity, however, the situation has completely changed now. People from states like Delhi and Mumbai visit the state with their supercars to explore Arunachal's road.

Recently, the BJP government was slammed in the parliament for not providing full information regarding the clash between Indian army and Chinese troops on 9th of December in Yangtse. They alleged that the statement passed by Rajnath Singh, the Defence Minister, was incomplete.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa, has also urged everyone to restrict any sort of discussion about the clash in public, as the Chinese might get an upper hand from analysing the discussion.
