Arunachal records 0.99 per cent increase in voter numbers

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh has recorded an overall increase of 0.99% of photo electoral rolls over the previous final rolls. The final publication of the photo electoral rolls was made available on Monday in all the polling stations and designated locations, an election official said here.

As per the final photo electoral rolls 2025, there has been an overall increase of 0.99% in the number of electors over the previous final rolls, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Liken Koyu said in a statement.

According to the final roll, he said the state’s total electors are 8,91,518 including 4,37609 male electors, 4,53,905 female electors and 4 third gender electors. He said all the newly enrolled electors can check their names in the final electoral rolls of 2025 uploaded in the CEO’s or Voters Helpline App.

The newly published electoral rolls have also been shared to all the political parties of the state, Koyu said.

The Election Commission of India had issued the schedule for the special summary revision of photo electoral rolls with reference to January 1, this year as the qualifying date in all 60 assembly constituencies of the state.

The main focus of the special summary revision was to include the name of young voters who have attained the age of 18 years on 01/01/2025 and also to remove the names of multiple voters in accordance with the guidelines of the ECI.
