Itanagar: Metedene cluster-level federation (CLF) from Sagalee Block in Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh, has secured the third position in the ‘Less than 5 Years’ category of the Atmanirbhar Sangathan Awards 2024 for the North-East region.

The award, announced by the union Ministry of Rural Development, honours the achievements of self-help group federations under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). This prestigious national recognition highlights Metedene CLF’s success in promoting women-led development through financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, and collective resilience.

The federation, which operates under the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM), has emerged as a model for community-led progress in the rural areas of the northeastern state.
