Arunachal's Mom Niting Dominates 3rd Junior State Ranking Badminton Tournament with Hat-Trick Win

ITANAGAR: Longding's Mom Niting won a remarkable hat-trick of titles at the 3rd Junior State Ranking Badminton Tournament-2024, which took place in the Keyi Panyor district of Arunachal Pradesh. Niting won the U-17 and U-19 singles events and the U-19 doubles event.

Niting won the titles in both singles finals by defeating his opponent from the same district, Pangdun Pansa. In the U-19 singles, Vikash Limbu of West Siang and Kangun Jamoh of Siang shared third place, while Biri Karakoram of Keyi Panyor and Marmin Uli of Lower Siang shared third place in the boys' U-17 singles.

Niting and Pansa defeated Chipe Riram and Marmin Uli of Lower Siang to win the boys' U-19 doubles championship. Anil Biswakarma and Nabam Komchi of RGUSCB, together with Gotum Sonar and Moses Sangbia of East Kameng, shared third place in the U-19 doubles competition.

Laa Anu of Kamle won the title in the girls' U-19 singles after defeating Jamba Waii of East Kameng in finals. Amijo Tangu of East Siang and Gyamar Aniya of Keyi Panyor finished in third place. Chipe Riram and Marmin Uli defeated Chomsam Kungkho and Joram Dolo of Keyi Panyor to win the boys' U-17 doubles championship.

Third place was shared by Anil Biswakarma and Robin Sapam of RGUSCB, Biri Karakoram, and Byabang D. Dui of Keyi Panyor. At the closing ceremony, MLA Laisam Simai gave the victors their prizes, marking the end of the competition.
