Battalion CRPF Organizes Civic Action Programme

Itanagar: Strengthening police public relation and welfare of the local population, the 36 Battalion CRPF on Tursday organized a civic action program at Kaimai village in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh.

As part of the programme, Tirap DC P N Thungon inaugurated a bus waiting shed in presence of Commandant S R Behura, Kamlesh Kumar, Second in command, Dr Krishna Jayaswal (CMO), Danial Hammer (Asst Commandant), Khamwang Lowang Chief of Kaimai and Tawang Wangsa Gaon Burah and other dignitaries, an official release informed. The commandant in his address said that the waiting shed has been constructed under civic action programme on request made by the people of Kaimai and other nearby villages as the shed in Kaimai village approach road point falls under NH-315A Khonsa – Tinsukia roads was utmost necessary for waiting for bus and other transport during monsoon.

While congratulating the people of Kaimai for having a new bus waiting shed, the DC appreciated CRPF battalion stationed at Khonsa for its effort been made for the people of Kaimai and other nearby villages under civic action programme by constructing the beautiful waiting shed.

The DC added that organizing such civic action program in remote villages would definitely bring closure relation and understanding between civilian and security forces in the region.

It is worth mentioning that the area receives a rainfall for 8-9 months in a year and as such people of the village and travelers from various places faced problems during monsoon as the previous bus waiting shed was completely deteriorated and damaged, the release added.
