ITANAGAR: Kargu-Kardi Welfare Society (KKWS)' has announced a reward of Rs. 10 lakhs to the person who will provide inputs related to the Lt. Tumi Gangkak murder case.
Addressing media persons at the press club here on Friday, KKWS President Bajap Jilen informed that the society had decided to reward a sum of Rs. 10 lakhs to those persons who will give inputs related to Gangkak's murder case in order to deliver early justice to the deceased.
He said that the identity and any other details of the informant will be kept secret. And the person can contact 9436266144 for any kind of information related to the case.
Claiming the death of Gangkak as "pre-planned murder", Jilen urged the special investigation team, under the leadership of DSP Kengo Dirchi, to fast-track the case. He said that Gangkak was given a clean bill of health by the CBI and was only the prime witness in the APPSC cash-for-job scam.
"Therefore, it will not be wrong to say that Gangkak was murdered because he was the witness who would have revealed many details of the scam," he said.
Meanwhile, a member of KKWS Tojum Poyum informed me that the society will be submitting two points of representation to Chief Minister Pema Khandu regarding Lt. Tumi Gangkak's murder case.
KKWS demanded to make public the phone call records between SIC officer Bomchu Krong and Gangkak, particularly the conversation of February 23 evening, when Krong called Gangkak for interrogation in the name of the CBI and after which Gangkak went missing, he informed
It also demanded that Gangkak's statements given during CBI and SIC interrogation be made public, he added.
"We firmly believe that Gangkak would have never committed suicide because he was a humble person who loved his wife and four children. He was also a dedicated APPSC officer who was given a clean chit from the CBI in the paper leak case", Poyum said.
He appealed to the public not to give the issue a communal color, instead fighting together to deliver justice to Gangkak, while thanking everyone who took part in the candlelight rally for the deceased, showing solidarity to the family.
Earlier, the Galo Students' Union (GSU) had demanded the immediate suspension of two SIC officers, Bomchu Krong and Tapun Messar, in the murder case of Lt. Tumi Gangkak.
