BORDUMSA: The Bordumsa-Diyun MLA understands the pulse of the people of his constituency and strikes the secular chord by dint of his periodic visits to his constituency," said Oling Lego, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Bordumsa Subdivision of Arunachal's Changlang district.

The top administrator of the subdivision was addressing the people of Bordumsa-Diyun on the occasion of Tangasa's prominent agricultural festival Moh-Mol here at Dumba Mossang village under Diyun circle on Monday afternoon. Lego, who was the chief guest on the occasion, was accompanied by S Roy the EAC Diyun, Khachang Miao and Mukesh Deori, the ZPMs of Bordumsa and Diyun respectively, MLA Somlung Mossang and his families, the Circle Officer and various public leaders.

While appreciating the efforts of the organizing committee in holding the event smoothly despite nature's impediments , the administrator also underlined the importance and significance of the Moh-Mol festival, defining the term culture in wider connotation, thus differentiated with that of the word religion which is often misinterpreted as inter-changeable or synonymous.

"Ever since I took over as ADC Bordumsa, I have visited Diyun four times so far for official purposes and co-incidentally enough, the MLA of the constituency was also present among the people doing the round on all four occasions," said Lego adding, "This clearly indicates his inclination towards the people and the place. He is a people's representative who prefers to be among his people most of the time."

Somlung Mossang, the local legislator, who was also the chief patron of the celebration committee, while appreciating the efforts of the organizing committee, suggested some aspects to be reformed while urging for punctuality. "No one can determine the time frame for unfurling the Tangsa Moh-Mol flag except the local organizing committee because situations and conditions differ from place to place. Unlike the national flag, it is not binding," he said.

As a part of the celebration agenda, there were ritual demonstration followed by hoisting of the Moh-Mol flag and Moh-Mol anthem. Mythology of the festival was read out, a traditional hut was also inaugurated beside exhibiting the colorful cultural dances by different sub tribes of the Tangsa. Arunachal's heartthrob and singing sensation Baby Mossang enthralled the audience with her scintillating musical performance.
