Cleanliness a social responsibility: Governor Brig (retd) Dr. BD Mishra

Itanagar: Governor Brig (retd) Dr. BD Mishra on Saturday called upon the people of the State to continue the cleanliness drives initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 2, 2014, which he said, is a befitting tribute to the father of the Nation in his 150th birth anniversary year. Leading a cleanliness drive in Government Upper Primary School at B Sector here, the Governor while reminding all that cleanliness work in schools is a social responsibility and falls in every local resident’s domain, said that such positive activities would help in inculcating the sense of cleanliness and hygiene amongst the young students.

He also emphasized that cleanliness drives should be regularly organized and enthusiastically participated in offices, public places, and educational institutes.

The Governor while expressing happiness that the people of the state have been willingly participating and organizing the cleanliness drives, said that they must also maintain the cleanliness of the places they already have cleaned.

Raj Bhavan officials and staff also took part in the cleanliness drive.
