Congress names ZPM candidate for Bordumsa

Finally, ending all speculations here in Bordumsa the Changlang District Congress Committee of Indian National Congress declared its candidate

BORDUMSA: Finally, ending all speculations here in Bordumsa the Changlang District Congress Committee of Indian National Congress declared its candidate for the ensuing two-tier Panchayat election from Bordumsa segment here this evening.

According to Nyasam Jongsam the district president of the INC, the party has decided to put up Jawseng Goju as the ZPM candidate. Handing over the party ticket to Goju during a meeting held at Goju village, Jongsam said that the said candidate with the win-ability prospect have been a potential leader of the village who recently joined the INC.

Meanwhile, Jawseng Goju during a telephonic interaction with The Sentinel here this evening said, "I have joined the INC to bring about development of the place and preserve the integrity of the culture and the people. I have been chosen by the party to put up the candidature for the ZPM."

It may be mentioned here that Sikhet Allah from BJP and KhachangMaio of Independent has been reportedly flexing muscles for the coveted ZPM seat from Bordumsa segment.

Now, with emergence of Congress candidate, it would be an interesting tug of war among the trios for the last laugh.

The simultaneous Panchayat polling in the State would be held on December 22. The last date of submission of nomination has been fixed on December 2 while the scrutiny date is 4th. The last date of withdrawal of nomination is December 7. The counting would take place on 26th.
