DFTI meet reviews key health programmes in Arunachal district

ITANAGAR: The third district task force on immunization (DTFI) meeting for the current fiscal, held at Namsai district on Monday, focused on reviewing crucial health indicators including ANC registration, institutional deliveries and Iron and Folic Acid (IFA) distribution programmes. The meeting chaired by Namsai deputy commissioner C R Khampa, also focused on BCG vaccination coverage, and daily outpatient reporting.

Alongside, an orientation workshop on the Stop Diarrhea Campaign was conducted, emphasising the establishment of Zinc-ORS corners in health facilities and enhancing IEC activities for diarrhea prevention.

The session also included reorientation on the roles and functioning of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) and Jan Arogya Samiti (JAS), as well as a review of the non-communicable diseases (NCD) and Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) programs.

The meeting concluded with directives to ensure all health facilities are well-prepared with resources in anticipation of any potential COVID-19 situations.

Attendees included DMO, DRCHO, DPO (IDSP/NCD), MS, MOs, CDPO, HWOs, and a UNDP representative.
