Doctor donates a month's salary for COVID-19 fight

ITANAGAR: Demonstrating humanitarian gesture and social responsibility, a doctor in Arunachal Pradesh has donated his month's salary to a hospital for purchasing medical kits to fight COVID-10 pandemic.

District Surveillance Officer (DSO) of Tawang Dr SangeyThinley has donated his one month salary to K D S District Hospital Tawang on Thursday.

DrThinley presented the cheque of Rs one lakh seven thousand three hundred twenty seven to Deputy Commissioner Sang Phuntsok in presence of District Medical Officer (DMO) DrWangdi Lama and Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr N Namchoom.

"As the district is witnessing severe spike in COVID-19 cases, I have voluntarily donated my one month salary as my social responsibility towards the district, to purchase RAT kits, so that rigorous testing of people with flu like symptoms and primary contacts of COVID-19 positive can be continued without any hiccups", DrThinley said.

He also appealed the denizens of the district to come forward and donate voluntarily for procuring kits and healthcare apparatus to trace and protect COVID infected people.
