ITANAGAR: Domestic flights to Pasighat in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh from Guwahati will resume from Thursday, a senior district official said on Wednesday.

Subject to weather condition and clearances, the flight is scheduled to operate for three days a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, East Siang Deputy Commissioner Dr Kinny Singh said.

She said all the inter-state returnees would be compulsorily institutionally quarantined at the destination district as per standard operating procedure of the Health department.

After two months of no flight operations across the country, domestic passenger flights resumed operations on May 25, with a reduced number.

Meanwhile, the East Siang district administration has made arrangements for hand washing, thermal screening of passengers, Aarogya Setu app to be downloaded mandatorily and declaration of travel history by passengers at Pasighat airport in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
