Guwahati: Assam on Wednesday discharged 25 more Covid-19 patients from hospitals across the state, raising the number of discharged persons to 87.
Out of those who were released, 22 were undergoing treatment at the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH), 2 from the Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH), and a single patient was released from the Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH).

Active patients - 680", Assam Finance and Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote on Twitter moments earlier, intimating about the development.
Moments earlier, 60 more Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in Assam. With the discovery of these fresh cases, the tally in the state has mounted to 774.
India witnessed 6,387 new Covid-19 cases and 170 deaths in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases in the country now stands at 1,51,767 including 83,004 active cases. As many as 64,425 people have been cured/discharged after recovering from the respiratory ailment. The death toll stands at 4,337, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said in its latest update on Wednesday.
