ITANAGAR: A national workshop on 'CUET-UG in Arunachal Pradesh: Exploring road map for admission in colleges', was organized by Indira Gandhi Government College (IGGC) at Tezu in Lohit district on Monday.

College Principal Dr Kangki Megu in his deliberations pointed out that the workshop would evolve feasible strategies and criteria for admission process of various colleges of the state under the new CUET-UG 2022. Resource person Anil Singh Bafila, Head of Research and Technology, Samarth eGov-MOE initiative, Institute of Informatics and Communication under University of Delhi, in his keynote address highlighted the comprehensive overview of the CUET-UG.

He also enlightened on the registration process, selection of subjects, eligibility criteria, mode and slots of the computer based test and other modalities for the comprehensive understanding of the stakeholders. In a power-point presentation, Bafila highlighted the proposed admission procedure which involves the following steps like re-registration of the candidates, collection of additional data, eligibility verification, admission verification process and fees payments for the programme.

The principals and delegates from various government colleges of the state participated in the workshop and deliberated on various issues relating to CUET based admission process. The workshop developed a comprehensive roadmap for admission in colleges within the framework of CUET- UG. The outcomes of the workshop are expected to be utilized by the stakeholders of the state.
