International Day of Person with Disabilities celebrated in Itanagar

ITANAGAR: International Day of Persons with Disabilities was celebrated amidst the students from hearing impaired school and members from the Paralympics and seniors citizen of the state at Dorjee Khandu Conventional Centre, Itanagar on Monday. The programme was organized by All Arunachal Pradesh Divyangjan Welfare Society (AAPDWS) in collaboration with All Arunachal Pradesh Divyangjan Youth Welfare Society (AAPDYWS) and Divyangjan Artiste Forum (DAF).

Addressing the gathering as chief guest on the day, Personal Liaison Officer (PLO) to chief minister, Nera Techi said that one should not be demoralized because of being physically disabled. “There are many renowned physically disabled people in the world those who contributed to society in different fields so everyone with disability should strive for that.” Other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
