Landslides damage houses in Arunachal Pradesh

ITANAGAR: Landslides triggered by incessant rain over the past two days damaged several houses at Taliha in the Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh, a district official said on Wednesday.

At least seven houses were badly damaged when landslides hit Taliha sub-division of the district on Tuesday night, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Cheechung Chikku informed on Wednesday.

However, no human casualty has been reported so far, the ADC said.

"There was enormous loss of properties and many affected persons have been relocated to safer areas," the ADC added.
