Local MLA Techi Kaso Takes Stock of Railway Bridge Construction

NAHARLAGUN: Local MLA Techi Kaso along with railway authorities inspected the on-going railway bridge construction connecting National Highway- 415 from Lekhi Village to Borum near Railway Station, Naharlagun.

The railway bridge project was sanctioned for Rs 1,11.00 crore in the year 2018. It is a long-felt need of the people residing nearby and also to reduce traffic congestion of the Capital Complex.

After taking a stock of the work, Kaso requested the Railways to expedite the construction work and complete it at the earliest for the greater interest of railway passengers as well as the denizens.

He further added that the completion of the bridge may help in reducing traffic congestion in the Capital Complex.

Railway officials apprised Kaso that the work of the 2-lane pavement approach road and sub-structure are almost complete.

They also added that the work of the super structure has been already begun with fabrication work of the steel bridge to be completed by May 2020.
