PASIGHAT: The East Siang District Health Society, the District Task Force (DTF) organized a meeting on immunization that was held on Thursday, at the DC's conference hall, under the chairmanship of the Incharge Deputy Commissioner Tatdo Borang (ADC).

DMO Dr Radesh Tatan, MS (BPGH) Dr YR Darang, DRCHO Dr Nidak Angu, Medical Officer in charge of all CHCs and PHCs and Town Planner Tani Taloh and others attended the meeting. The roles, responsibilities and various protocols were briefed and feedback from the participants was also taken for better management during the day-long session.

After taking stock of the prevailing immunization process and protocol being followed in the district, Borang lauded the efforts of the health department on achieving good coverage and also urged them to continue making judicious use of the available manpower and other resources so that the best service could be made available to the people. He also held an open discussion with the participating stakeholders and expressed hope, so that the district could achieve the target with coordination between blocks and district levels adding that corrective measures must be taken seriously to address all odds.

Earlier, DMO Tatan during the performance review stressed on timely submission of reports and instructed all to ensure that data should tally with the record register (source). He called upon the stakeholders to raise awareness and mobilize beneficiaries and the general public for availing of all vaccination to combat life-threatening diseases. DRCHO Dr Angu made ppt on strategies, plans and achievements of DTFI appealing to the health service providers to find out ways and means to reach out to every corner of the district and create awareness on the importance of immunization amongst the people.
