MLA Kanggong Taku takes stock of situation post-Millang fire mishap

Itanagar: Mariyang-Geku lawmaker Kanggong Taku, accompanied by ADC Mariyang, Project Director (DRDA) Upper Siang and EAC Geku along with government officers of Mariyang circle, visited Millang village to take stock of the situation post the fire accident that occurred on October 18 last. The MLA asked the villagers to maintain proper gap during construction of houses so as to avoid spread of fire during such accident.

On the occasion, Taku distributed 40 CGI sheets to each affected family for rebuilding their houses while assuring to take up with the government for providing adequate relief to the victims for their early resettlement and rehabilitation.

In the meantime, the 2018 batch of Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officers wherein Dr Ojing Dameng is one among them, who hails from this village, has mobilized an amount of Rs 67,700 as immediate relief for the affected families.

The 2018 batch of IRS officers are currently undergoing training at National Academy of Direct Taxes, Nagpur, an official release informed here.
