ITANAGAR: In a swift crackdown, Seijosa Police have arrested five individuals involved in a violent mob attack on a residence in Mobuso-I, under Pakke Kessang district of Arunachal Pradesh, that occurred in the early morning on July 25 last, while a key accused is still absconding, police said on Tuesday.

Pakke Kessang superintendent of police (SP) Tashi Darang in a statement informed that the mob vandalised several vehicles, including a truck, an Alto car, a tractor, and a motorcycle, and issued death threats to the victim's family before fleeing in three vehicles. The arrests followed a written FIR lodged by Nama Nabam, who accused a group led by Thomas Tachang, Marcus Tachang, Kame Techi, Mohan Techi Tara of 4th IRBN and others, of forcibly entering his home, ransacking property, and threatening to set the house on fire. Acting promptly, Seijosa Police registered a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation, led by assistant sub inspector L Sahu and supervised directly by SP Tashi Darang, quickly made headway.
