ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik on Tuesday hailed the power of storytelling as a bridge between tradition and modernity while launching the book “Mystic Arunachal – Tales from India’s Hidden Frontier” at the chief minister’s conference hall, here.
Lauding the author Major Rahul Jha, who currently serves as the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to the Governor, Parnaik described the book as “a tribute to the timeless traditions, the silent resilience, and the natural grandeur of Arunachal.
He praised Major Jha for going beyond the call of duty to immerse himself in the spirit and soul of the state, capturing its essence through fiction inspired by real indigenous cultures. Chief Minister Pema Khandu, who jointly launched the book alongside the governor, commended Major Jha for his creative contribution and noted the significance of documenting and celebrating the oral traditions and diverse cultures of Arunachal through literature.
He said the book offers readers a rare and heartfelt perspective into the lived realities and vibrant identities of the state’s tribal communities.
