National Disaster Response Force conducts mock drill in Tawang

Itanagar: A team from the 12th battalion of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) led by Inspector Manish Kr Chaudhury on Tuesday presented a mock drill in presence of huge gathering of officers and officials in the premises of DC office at Tawang. District Disaster Management Officer (DDMO) Tsangpa Tashi informed that the NDRF team has till so far presented the mock drills in interior Thingbu circle headquarters during the 15th Sarkar Aapke Dwar, at Seru and Kitpi secondary school and would be showing mock drills in Hr Cec School and Town secondary school at Tawang on Wednesday, an official release informed.

Tawang DC Sang Phuntsok appreciated the NDRF team for its efforts and asked the gathering to learn the necessary information from the mock drill being presented. The NDRF team in themock drill showed how to rescue a victim from a collapsed house during earthquake and rescue from a high building in case of fire or other emergency. The presentation ended with lifting techniques of an unconscious victim, the release added.
