National webinar on forestry concludes in Arunachal Pradesh

ITANAGAR:  A three-day national webinar with the topic 'Geospatial Technology Application in Forestry' concluded at the College of Horticulture and Forestry under Central Agricultural University, at Pasighat in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

About 225 students, scientists and faculties participated in the webinar where six eminent speakers from the renowned institutes like Indian Space Research Organization; Jawaharlal Nehru University, Forest Research Institute, Dehradun have delivered their lectures here on Saturday.

Various topics including, Managing Forests and Forest Resources — Geospatial Perspective, Principles of Remote Sensing and its application in Forestry, Forest Growing Stock Estimation through Geo Spatial Technology, Mapping spring-sheds and spring-shed rejuvenation for sustainable water resources management using geospatial techniques.
