Addressing the cadets, Maj. Gen. Bhuyanemphasised the need for enrolment of motivated cadets in NCC in the region. He also enphasised the role of NCC in building the character and moulding the youths of Arunachal Pradesh. The ADG called upon the managements of schools and colleges to ensure that students opt for NCC as an elective subject, as espoused by the UGC (University Grants Commission). Such moves will ensure that NCC activities are incorporated as part of the curriculum without hampering the existing curricula.
He pointed out that the maximum number of cadets should appear for the Certificate exams after attending the camps / cadres, as many governmment job opportunities are being offered by both the State/Central government, stated a release.
