ITANAGAR: Upholding the motto of "Ideas for a Better Tomorrow: India for the World" Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) here on Saturday organized the district youth parliament in virtual mode. The NYK Itanagar is being selected as a nodal Kendra to host the district youth parliament 2023.

Participants from all districts of the state participated in the event and shared their views with great confidence on three suggestive topics provided to them.

District youth parliament is a part of the national youth parliament festival 2023 to be held in New Delhi on February 23 and 24 next.

During the event, 32 winners from 18 districts were screened to go to the state level. A total of three winners from the state level would be invited to take part in the national youth parliament in New Delhi in physical mode.

First, second and third winners at the national level would get prize money of Rs two lakh, 1.5 and 1 lakh respectively.

The competent jury consisted of assistant registrar of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) Gomar Basar, Arunachal Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (APSACS) assistant director Koj Tara, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) vice president Mina Toko and MIS expert Laya Lomb.

As many as 32 winners from the district youth parliament would now compete at the state-level event, a press release informed.
